Operation Method

1. Pre-Running Inspection & Preparation

    

   Before running into the well, carefully check the screen appearance to ensure no damage to the wedge wire surface, no deformation of the slot, and intact thread. Verify the overall length, outer diameter, slot size and connection type against the order documents. Keep the thread protectors installed until the formal connection operation to avoid thread damage.
    
2. Handling & Lifting Specifications

    

   Use special soft slings for lifting and handling. It is strictly forbidden to use steel wire rope to directly contact the screen filtering surface to prevent scratch, deformation and welding joint damage. Do not drop, bump or squeeze the screen during transportation and handling, and avoid heavy impact on the end of the pipe.
    
3. LTC Thread Make-up Operation

    

   Before connection, thoroughly clean the LTC male and female threads and coupling, remove all impurities, dust and burrs, and evenly apply API standard thread compound on the entire thread surface. Use a calibrated hydraulic torque tong for make-up, strictly follow the API 5CT recommended make-up torque for 13 3/8” J55 LTC casing. Avoid over-torque (which may cause thread damage) or under-torque (which may cause sealing failure).
